Tip of the Month

Are you stamps well loved? Are they not sticking as well as they used to? Get a bowl of warm soapy water (dishsoap works fine) and give those stamps a bath. You don't need to scrub, just gently rub your fingers over the front and back of the stamp to clean. Rinse your stamp (if your rinsing in the sink don't forget to put the stopper in or use a strainer of some sort so they don't go down the drain). Lay the stamp face down on paper towel and let air dry. Your stamp will be sticky again in no time.

February Constant Campaign
Hearts for Haiti
Our hearts go out to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, and like so many of you, we’re eager to help. Hostess Club:
There is one spot left in the hostess club. If you are interested in taking it please contact me. Term is 6 months and the minimum purchase per month is 25.00. In the 6 month period you will be hostess for the gathering and earn the hostess rewards for that month. You're welcome to get outside orders to bring to the club in any month to raise the party total for a chance to earn more hostess rewards. We will be meeting this Thursday at 5:45 at my house to pick the hostess order and decide on the nights of the club and so forth. Please contact me if you are interested.

Crop:
Monthly crop on January 23rd from 9:00 am-11:00 pm. There are a few spots left, but you need to contact me to reserve one if you would like to come crop the day away. We do potluck and everyone brings their own drinks. You are welcome to use any non-consumables and I have items for sale as well.

Orders Due:
Orders for January will be due on January 23rd as well. Remember that there is a special for National Paper Crafting Month. Information can be found on the National Paper Crafting Month Blog

It's that time again. I will be starting up the hostess club again in February. Here are the details

Club 1 - Beginners Club - Commit to 6 months at 25.00 per month, you will complete a 2 page layout and learn basic techniques to help you feel more comfortable with scrapbooking. You will be hostess for one of the 6 months and will receive all the hostess credits for that month. So feel free to bring in outside orders to boost the party sales. Meetings are in my home in Weston. Please contact me for more information.

Club 2 - Seasoned Scrappers- Commit to 6 months at 25.00 per month, you will also complete a 2 page layout, but we will do more advanced techniques and sometimes a project. You will be hostess for one of the 6 months and will receive all the hostess credits for that month. So feel free to bring in outside orders to boost the party sales. Both clubs are about the same, but one is geared more towards beginners and one more towards advanced scrappers.

Well, she's all moved in. She will be staying there tonight...her roommate came back from the camping trip so they will get to meet officially in an hour or so...We're taking lots of pictures for scrapping. Well, she is taking them for her friends, but I'm taking them for scrapping.
So far so good, no crying...we'll see how tomorrow goes

Well, it's getting closer, Alex will be gone to school in 27 days. It will be very strange to not have her around. She's not here much now, but it will be strange none the less. I think we have most of her shopping done. We need to get a Microwave and floor rug yet. I think that's it though. There are storage things I would like to get her but she swears she doesn't need them. We'll see.... I just wish I could have seen her dorm or a similar dorm so i could get a feel for what she can take....it's a small room 9'10" x 16'. Isn't that a walk in closet? LOL

I can't believe that Alex will be moving out in 53 days! I will miss her so much. I'm very excited for her, but I know it will be hard for me. I think she is preparing us by never being home now, even though she probably calls it escaping...LOL.
I have been scouring youtube for dorm tours and trying to figure out what hers will look like and also get ideas from other dorms on what kind of organization is needed...going from most of those tours, dressers are needed badly...hehehe, some of those rooms are kind of scary.
We are going shopping for last minute stuff on the 28th of August, we can start any time I think, but she doesn't find out who her dorm mate is until the middle of August, so big stuff will have to wait.
Ok, 53 days until empty nest syndrome....

How many times have I said that. I'm going to give this blog another chance. I never can decide if I want it scrapping, or life or both...we are trying both this time. I'm also importing it into facebook. I want to see how it looks for the Wisconsin scrappers group blog.
